We are thrilled to receive the 2024 Chapter Community Service Award from NARI National. This award recognizes remodeling work for individuals, families, or communities in need.
NARI Certified Remodelers (CR) are highly experienced remodeling professionals who offer full-service remodeling. CRs are skilled in many business and technical areas and are well-rounded remodeling experts who can handle all aspects of a project.
We attended the Annual Conference in Virginia, met some amazing people, and learned a lot. The highlight of the event was the National Contractor of the Year Awards, where Chris accepted the National Community Service Award on behalf of the Austin NARI Chapter. This award recognized the outstanding project completed by Wild Creek Custom Renovations in 2023.
In November 2021, Austin NARI had the opportunity to help Michael, a resident who suffered a spinal cord injury from a fall. His family’s home, built in the 1970s, needed extensive structural modifications to accommodate his wheelchair.
Our team led the project, which included redesigning the entrance, updating flooring, removing walls, relocating the plumbing, and creating an accessible bathroom – all at no cost to the family.
More than 30 businesses and 50 individuals contributed labor, materials, and fundraising to make a big impact on a collaborative and accessible home remodeling project. From concept to move-in, it took almost a year, and the results are amazing! Many donors contributed almost $10,000 to this project. Because of these generous donations, we were able to do a $175,000 retail value project for a fraction of the cost.
