Custom Garage Design Vision
The homeowner needed more than just a place to park vehicles. They wanted a spacious 1,600 sq. ft. garage that could handle oversized trucks, heavy-duty tools, and still provide the comfort and convenience of a fully finished space. Our team designed every detail in-house, ensuring the garage would not only perform but also complement the existing home’s architecture.

Engineering & Foundation
Every great build starts with a solid foundation. Our engineering team handled geotechnical evaluations, slab-on-grade foundation design, framing layouts, and wind bracing. The foundation was poured to engineering specifications with reinforced concrete beams, compacted sub-grade, to ensure long-term strength and stability.

Framing & Structure
The garage was framed to plan with sheathing, siding, soffits, fascia, and Simpson strong ties for added strength. Structural beams and engineered bracing were included to support the oversized door openings and heavy roof loads.

Roofing & Exterior
The roof features an Owens Corning Oakridge dimensional roofing system. To ensure the new garage blended seamlessly with the home, we finished the exterior with brick to match the existing house.
Workshop Features
This garage was designed to be more than just storage; it’s a multi-functional space ready for serious use. Inside, you’ll find:
- Oversized doors large enough to fit the biggest trucks
- Epoxy-coated floors for durability, easy cleaning, and a polished look
- A full bathroom with shower, lavatory, and toilet
- Electrical wiring with 220 outlets for welding and heavy equipment
- HVAC-ready wiring for a future system, ensuring the space can be climate controlled when the time is right

Insulation & Finishes
The interior includes full insulation (Open Cell spray foam), sheetrock, tape, float, and light splatter texture. Walls, ceilings, and trim were finished with Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 paint. Fixtures like mirrors, bath hardware, and lighting were all installed per client selection, with large ceiling fans and light fixtures.
Added Features
One of the standout features of this build is the back deck, a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a cold one after a day in the shop. The deck features treated lumber framing, Trex Enhance Basics decking, and a black-painted metal railing. It extends the garage’s functionality by blending work and relaxation in one project.

Project Results
The result is a garage that combines heavy-duty capability with comfort and style. With its 1,600 square feet of space, oversized doors, epoxy floors, full bath, and outdoor deck, this isn’t just a garage; it’s a custom-built extension of the home.
