We’ve changed a few things, like our name and logo, but our commitment to our clients’ experiences remains the same. As our company continues to grow and evolve into a new chapter, we vow to always stay true to who we are and the company you’ve come to know and love.
A note from Chris Haynes, owner and founder:
In 2005, I was a newly married 21 year old dad living in a one bedroom cabin in Bastrop, Texas. I had dropped out of high school to work and pay the bills and in doing so, acquired skills in carpentry, masonry, sheetrock and painting. In the fall of 2004, I was hired to help on a home renovation project. I soon became the project manager for the final job of a company that was closing up operations in Austin.
When the project finished, my boss at the time asked me to help out with a couple of his favorite customers. Rather than look for a new job, I drove my ’97 maroon Ford pickup down to the County Courthouse, filed the paperwork for my LLC and that’s when C. Haynes Construction was born.
With my first check from my own job, I purchased my first computer and put an ad in the yellow pages for handyman work. Embracing technology, I sent emailed bids while most tradespeople were still handwriting quotes on carbon paper – I wanted to be different and better. The past 16 years of C. Haynes Construction has been amazing. In the early days, I never said no to a job. If I didn’t know how to do it, I’d find the resources and figure out a way to get the job done. There were many learning experiences – ever expanding my knowledge on how to properly perform new trades, while simultaneously learning customer service, scheduling, hiring employees, project management, how to pay taxes, and ultimately learning how NOT to run a business.
I have been fortunate to add many amazing team members along the way and together we have reached new heights. Today marks a new chapter for our team. We have taken the next step on our journey to becoming the best custom home remodelers in central Texas – C. Haynes Construction is now Wild Creek Custom Renovations.
We still keep our core values that you have come to know and expect from day one; honest communication, timeliness, a high quality finished product and a clean and beautiful home. I believe this name change will take us to the next level of professionalism, service and brand identity. From our family to yours, we thank you for being a part of Wild Creek.
